“Would you like to make a donation to Scouts Canada?”

This question would be said and heard in our neighbourhood, and neighbourhoods across the city, every year around this time for Apple Day. Like last year, Apple Day is a bit different this time around as we will not be out and about this Fall, but we hope you “would like to make a donation to Scouts Canada” and help our group raise funds so that we can have some great adventures!

Last year we had the help of CanadaHelps to orgnaize donations and secure tax reciepts for those who required them. This year we are doing things a bit differently. If you would like to donate, please fill out the online form using the link below or reach out to one of our Volunteers directly. We will then make arrangements with you on the best method to collect the donation, be it e-transfer or a pick up.

We will be accepting donation for Apple Day until 11:59pm on October 30th. We thanks in advance for the support and generosity and we are very hopeful for a normal Apple Day in 2022!!!

Pet Investiture Night! - August 10 @ 7:00pm - via ZOOM

Greater Toronto Council Summer Adventures have been fun and exciting. Let’s not stop the fun now! Join GTC for a celebration of investiture for your favourite pet.

Movie Night w/ optional Fort Building - August 20 @ 7:00pm - via ZOOM

Join Greater Toronto Council Summer Adventures as we meet in Sections to watch a movie on Netflix (you need a Netflix account to be able to participate). Build a fort, make yourself cozy and bring your Scout Popcorn or another movie snack to enjoy during the movie.

Astronomy Night

Join Greater Toronto Council during our Summer Adventures as we learn from one of our very own Scouters who has worked with the Canadian Space Agency and NASA!
Scouter Leif Bloomquist from 18th Willowdale is also a Software Systems Engineer with MDA (creators of the Canadarm). Most recently he was involved with Canada's contribution to the OSIRIS-REx mission to study the asteroid Bennu.

We'll learn about some of the discoveries from that mission with some cool pictures, interactive online games and virtual experiences. We'll also hear about some famous Scouts who have gone to space, and different careers within the space industry.
